Sewing swimwear is much easier than you think. Learn how to use 2-way stretch fabrics,
how to get a good fit, which stitches to use, and how to apply elastic. Never again will
you have to choose from an "off the rack" suit that doesnt quite fit!
SERGER BASICS (Instructor: Barbara Bilenki)

Learn all the basics, plus rolled hem and flat lock. All brands welcome.
I LOVE TO SEW CLUB

Open to every one who loves to sew. Come meet a kindred spirit, learn a new sewing technique
or skill to make your sewing easier and fun. Share your tips or your frustrations. Help find
solutions to sewing problems.
SEW WE CARE

Meet together as a group to sew for others. Everyone is welcome, registration is required,
and the cost is free call the store for details

This is a group for owners of the Creative Vision. Learn all the great things
you can do with this machine. We will be doing a different project each month.
QUILT CLASSES
LEARN TO QUILT (Instructor: Susan Castagna)
5 Thursdays May 13, 20, 27, June 3, 10 7 - 9pm $65 + gst
It has been said that quilting is the process of cutting apart pieces of fabric only to
sew them together again. But it is so much fun! Susan will cover the basics as you will
make a wall quilt. Susan also covers 5 basic block designs during the class.
SPECIALTY CLASSES
COVERSTITCH BAG (Instructor: Carole Ellis)
Saturday May 15 10am 4pm $50 + gst
Kit Fabric, Pet Screen, and Pattern $30 ($15 without fabric) payable to instructor
This great bag was made using the chain and coverstitch (coverhem) on the serger
no machine sewing. Two versions of the kit are available. The pet screening is
available in black, lime green, red, orange, and blue. If you do not own a Coverstitch
Serger, then use a store serger for the day!
FUN WITH FREE MOTION (Instructor: Geesje Baron)
1 Tuesday May 11, or 10am 3pm $50 + gst
1 Saturday May 29, or
1 Saturday June 26
Have fun learning how to do Free Motion stipling. This class was a big hit from previous
sessions and fills quickly, so call ASAP if you have wanted to take this class. Geesje
is back for two more sessions of this great class to help you navigate your way through
free motion using your machine, so start making your quilted sandwiches.
2nd STASH BASH
Last October, we held a Stash Bash to raise monies for four different charities.
We are doing a second one on Friday June 4th from 2pm 4pm and Saturday June 5th
from 10am 2pm.
Christmas in July
Our 8th annual Christmas In July is happening a little earlier this year on July 22nd
We will have a day session:
July 22nd, 10am 2:30pm
And an evening session:
Also July 22nd, 5pm 9:30pm
We will do two Christmas or Winter themed projects. The cost is $30 + gst, includes
all supplies, and lunch or dinner.

These classes are for children ages 9 yrs. and up who have never used a sewing machine.
Projects are a pencil case and pajama pants.

These classes are for children who have used a sewing machine and have taken a previous
basic class. Projects are a simple bag and pajama top.
