This class is designed for the beginner sewer. Learn how to use a sewing machine,
use a pattern, and sewing basics while making pajama pants and a small bag.

Sew a basic pajama top. Learn to put in sleeves and do a facing. This class is for
students who did a pajama bottoms class.
BEST BRA (Instructor: Margaret Munn)
3 Wednesdays Feb 8, 15, 22 7 9pm $50 + gst
We have all the special bra fabrics, notions, elastics and laces. With Margarets
guidance, making your own bra results in a better fit and a reasonable cost.
SERGER BASICS (Instructor: Barbara Bilenki)
4 Thursdays Mar 8, 15, 22, 29 7 - 9pm $65 + gst
All brands are welcome. Learn threading and how to fix minor problems. You will
construct pajama pants, rolled hem napkins, and a quilted bag over the four weeks.
RAG JACKET (Instructor: Margaret Munn)
3 Wednesdays Mar 7, 14, 21 7 - 9pm $50 + gst
Just in time for spring, an old favorite is back. Stitch up this cozy rag jacket using
quilting flannels. This class is for the intermediate quilter or sewer.

LEARN TO QUILT (Instructor: Susan Castagna)
6 Mondays March 12, 19, 26, Apr 2, 9, 16 7 - 9pm $95 + gst
Learn the basics of quilting. Learn 4 different blocks plus the basics of
choosing fabrics, cutting, piecing, binding, sashing, and quilting, while
you make a table topper or baby quilt. This is a try before you buy class.
We supply rulers, rotary cutters, and mats for use during class.
KIDS SEWING

These classes are for children ages 9 years and up who have never used a sewing machine. In
class, students will sew a pencil case, pajama pants, and a small teddy bear. Machines are

SERGER BAG (Instructor: Barbara Bilenki)
1 Saturday Mar 24 1 4pm $25 + gst
Using the serger, make this practica bag for fabric shopping. This class is for
coverhem serger owners. The bag has a flatlock brgello on one side and decorative
coverhem on the other. If you do not own a coverhem serger, use one in store.

In this class we will be covering the machine tapering feature and free motion time
permitting.
FUN WITH FREE MOTION LEVEL I (Instructor: Geesje Baron)
1 Saturday Feb 25 10am 3pm $70 + gst
Have fun learning how to do Free Motion stipling. This class was a big hit
from previous sessions and fills quickly, so call ASAP if you have wanted
to take this class. Geesje is back for another session of this great class
to help you navigate your way through free motion using your machine, so
start making your quilted sandwiches.
ONE BLOCK WONDER (Instructor: Yvonne Carlson)
2 Saturdays Jan 28, 10am - 4pm $75 + gst
Feb 4 1 - 4pm
A single print, cut randomly with no fussy cutting and no Y seams, is pieced
together with gorgeous results. In this 2 day class, you will learn how to align
and cut your fabric, create the hexagons and design with them. You will have a
chance to lay your hexagons on the design wall to create a beautiful quilt top.
We will also discuss finishing the quilt, including finished sizes, options and
borders. This will give you a firm idea of how your quilt will be designed, what
to look for, and what to avoid.
Limit of 6 class participants for this class.
Fabulous Fractured Picture (Instructor: Yvonne Carlson)
1 Sunday March 11 10am - 4pm $55 + gst
Quilting Skill Level: Intermediate
Take 4 repeats of a fabric image and create a fabulous fractured picture.
Incorporate into a quilt or make it into a pillow cover or wall hanging
DOUBLE DIAMOND TABLE RUNNER (Instructor: Susan Castagna)
1 Sunday Jan 29 12pm - 4pm $30 + gst + Ruler
The trick to this easy table runner is the double diamond ruler and three
fat quarters. Come and be amazed!
Easy Angle Ruler Topper (Doreen Lesage)
